One of my favorite things about Oregon is how different the lifestyles can feel within just a few hours of each other. The Oregon Coast and Central Oregon are both beautiful, but they offer *very different versions of everyday life.
🌊 If you’re drawn to the Oregon Coast…
You might love quiet mornings, long beach walks, dramatic scenery, smaller communities, and a slower, more peaceful pace of life.
You’ll also want to be prepared for the wardrobe 😂 Tall rain boots, puffy jackets, rain jackets, layers, and enough athletic pants to survive every season.
The trick to coastal living? You can’t let the rain and wind keep you inside. Some of the most beautiful coastal days happen when the weather is a little moody. 🌧️🌊
🏔️ If you’re considering moving to Bend or Sisters…
You may be looking for a little more activity and connection. Skiing, mountain biking, hiking, restaurants, live music, local events, and a community that tends to be pretty social and active.
Bend has a lot going on, while Sisters offers a smaller-town feel with easy access to everything Central Oregon has to offer.
🌲 And then there’s Sunriver…
If you’re thinking, “Can I have a little bit of everything?”… maybe (well, except for the ocean).
Sunriver gives you that quieter, tucked-away feeling while still putting you close to Bend, Mt. Bachelor, the Deschutes River, trails, restaurants, and all the things people love about Central Oregon.
There really isn’t one “best” place to live in Oregon. It comes down to how you want your everyday life to feel. 🤍 And that’s one of my favorite parts of helping people relocate. It’s not just about finding a house that checks the boxes. It’s about figuring out which community, pace, and lifestyle actually feels like you.
